Summer Vibes Part 2 – 2024
Summer continued to be fun and busy! Jatin and I took a tour of Cal Arts, Nick and I got a few more beach trips in, Avinash Aunty turned 90, Aanika joined her Nani for a shopping trip, and Nick and I took Jatin to his first trip to the Hollywood Bowl to watch movie music composed by John Williams! Neera and Nikki, Naya and Nareen came to visit and we finally got to do a beach day together! Also got to see Sheila Masi, Maya and Nisha over the summer. Aanika started watching Knight Rider again (just like her Daddy) and Neera and I got to catchup with Kanika over FaceTime! Lot’s of get togethers, fun in the sun, splashing around. Jatin has fallen in love with jewelry! (His request for back to school shopping) Next up…senior year for Jatin and 7th grade for Aanika!
Tina and Gurshawn’s Wedding
Another family wedding in the books! This last week we attended Tina & Gurshawn’s Wedding. The festivities started on Saturday night with a Sangeet at home, followed by a Bridal Shower on Sunday. Tuesday was the Mehendi, and then Friday early morning we headed to Santa Barbara for the wedding followed by the reception on Saturday. The whole family was there. Outside of the wedding festivities it was a lot of fun to have some down time with the Gundara crew. We enjoyed a day out and about in Santa Barbara for an educational session from Jatin and Brody about “alpha” generation’s crazy language. We learned about Mewing, Alpha vs. Sigma, Plus Aura, Rizz and Skibbiddi. It sparked a hilarious group chat! Since Amrita was in town the whole week she brought the boys over a few times for some Pickleball at the house which was awesome! The entire week was tiring but FUN!
Summer Vibes Part 1 – 2024
We’ve been enjoying the last month. Trying to get in more relaxing time in the yard. We had a temporary feathered visitor named Borek in our front garden 🙂 Aanika has been enjoying swimming again. Jatin’s best friend and neighbor Mark graduated from high school! The kids celebrated their last day of school in style, Nick and I have been on a few nature hikes, Aanika is continuing to ride, and she even found a Little Mermaid “Ursula” book in Home Goods with me! Jatin attended his end of the year band banquet. We got to see both Kiran Bua, Masi & Prabhu Uncle, and we celebrated the grand opening on Sukham’s Pizza Twist here in the valley. We’ve been frequenting the gym as usual and have had a few girl hangouts. All in all summer has been great so far. More to come 🙂
Father’s Day 2024
We are feeling especially happy this Father’s Day because Daddy’s *Nana’s surgery was a success and we’re all relieved that he’s on his way to a pain free lifestyle again! Below are a few memories leading up to the day’s of his surgery, Daddy’s 81st birthday, day of and post surgery and then Father’s Day weekend as well.
On Father’s Day for my darling Nick we made waffles for breakfast, relaxed the entire day *as much as possible in a house full of dogs and kiddos ;), and gifted him the custom Pop Doll that truly looks exactly like him! Aanika and Nick went for a lovely drive, and Jatin and Nick hung out in the arcade and worked on upgrading the basketball hoops with a little father son restoration project. Happy Father’s Day to both my beautiful Daddy and my Baby Daddy. Love you both.

Mother’s Day 2024
Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful Mama! We celebrated with the family with brunch at Gus’s BBQ. The best part was just a few days afterwards we headed to Portland together for Arjun & Aayami’s Wedding. That was a lovely way to celebrate Mother’s Day together. Love you mommy. You are my inspiration, my strength and best friend. You’re an amazing role model and I am so lucky to have you right down the road. Happy Mother’s Day.
Manita and Teo’s Wedding
First wedding of the year! Manita and Teo had a beautiful wedding her in LA. In true Indian fashion it was a week long event starting on Sunday with the Bridal Shower, followed by the Mehendi, Sangeet, then a morning Sikh Wedding in Porter Valley Country Club followed by an intimate evening garden ceremony and then a lovely wedding reception the following Saturday. Ton’s of parties, celebrations, dancing and food to celebrate the lovely couple.
Main Event – Ft. Lauderdale 2024
Nick won his 9th Main Event with One Main in 2023. To celebrate the company sent us to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for a 3 day event to honor the 200 employees out of 9,000 who made the cut! We stayed at the HardRock Guitar Hotel. It was absolutely lovely and as usual we extended our stay by an extra day to make the most of the trip!
We arrived a day ahead of schedule but most of Saturday was spent traveling. On Sunday we enjoyed a lovely brunch at RISE *excellent Orange Juice, followed by registration and then a relaxing afternoon by the pool sipping Pina Coladas. That evening we freshened up and headed to the welcome reception garden party hosted poolside at the hotel. 2 of Nick’s managers made the trip as well (Brenda & Ish, Randy & Theresa)
