Thanksgiving 2024

We had a lovely, calm Thanksgiving this year. We started by going to Mommy & Daddy’s house for brunch. Mark our neighbor was home for the holiday from college so he joined us for the weekend. Genesis was also with us in the morning to accompany and help with Aanika 🙂 Jatin played some piano for us and we got to FaceTime with Neera and fam. In the evening I cooked up steak and some sides followed by pies and we watched Sylvester Stallone’s “Over the Top” arm wrestling movie! The following day we saw some of the family at Puneet and Dominic’s baby shower and then had Mom Gundara, Tamana, Gee, Neha, Brody, Gia, Aakash and Amrita all visited. Aanika also had a play date with Aman & Kenny’s son Aikam. We have so much to be grateful for. Halloween 2024

Welcome Ursula/Uma and Skeleton to the Gundara house! Aanika wore an Ursula costume this year with Jatin’s Captain Jack Sparrow Jacket from his 10th birthday along with a gold shell necklace. She was so cute and allowed me to totally do up her eye makeup and lipstick! She even had a pair of Ursula socks. Jatin re-wore his Skeleton Cobra Kai outfit from a few years ago and I worked on his custom makeup before school. The Gundara clan looked awesome for Halloween! The 4 of us went trick or treating in our neighborhood to say hi to all the neighbors as usual and then Jatin headed off to Sorrento to hand out with friends for the night. Fall 2024

It hasn’t felt like fall given that we’ve had more 90 degree day’s than not….but we’re still in the middle of all the fun and chaos that comes with the season. The kids are in full swing at school. Jatin’s band competition circuit has begun and we attended his Senior Year Homecoming Game and he went to his Homecoming dance after a long day of competing at Hart Rampage. Aanika attended a competition in Simi Valley with me for the first time! She did great, and the shirts I designed for their Summer of Love theme turned out fantastic. Aanika also has started to love wearing makeup, so we’ve been playing with that, and getting her ready for her Halloween costume. I of course have been wearing my geeky Halloween themed sweaters and jackets. Got a Beetlejuice and Mickey jacket this year! Jatin got his permit!! Who hooo! Witches Night 2024

This year I got to finally host my first annual Witches Evening! I had so much fun planning the decor for a spooky evening. My favorite part was decorating our very long table for the evening. Brought back all the things I’ve stored over the years from my many years admiring Disneyland Imagineer decor and ambiance creativity! All the girls came as good or bad witches. We did a “sisterhood” toast to start the evening along with a splash of champagne with cherry juice to add to the wicked effect. Jatin helped me create an awesome Witch Party Playlist. Jatin’s 17th Birthday 2024

Hard to believe Jatin turned 17 this year! We are so proud of Jatin. He recently got his license permit and is on his way to learning to drive, he’s applying to colleges *some California and just as menu outside of California! He’s drum major in his senior year, an officer in Model UN and a wonderful, kind, friendly, warm human being. We are so proud of him. He celebrated his birthday this year with a hangout at home. It was so much fun to see him and his buddies thoroughly enjoy the house he’s grown up in. Happy Birthday to my beautiful “sonshine” – May all your hopes, dreams and wishes come true in life wherever next year takes you and may you always be protected and stay in google health and happiness. Vani’s 45th Birthday 2024

Cheers to another beautiful year around the sun. Thank you for all my blessings, the roof over my head, good health for my family and I, a heart full of warmth and a household filled with laughter. 45 is awesome. Lunch at North Italia, followed by a drive to Malibu for Milkshakes. Then an evening with Jatin, quick dinner at Tulsi followed by a movie (Piece by Piece – Pharell’s lego biography).

Las Vegas 2024

Enjoyed a much needed few days away in Las Vegas. Cosmopolitan, Bootleggers Bistro, Bellagio Fountain Views, Lot’s of relaxing, a little bit of pickle ball and a mind reader show. Can’t wait until we go back.

Aanika’s 13th Birthday 2024

We officially have 2 teenagers in the house! Aanika was gifted a variety of Villain books, backpacks and clothing most of which featured Ursula! Her Nani and Gulu Nana joined us to celebrate. Happy 13th gorgeous! May your heart stay happy, your body stay healthy and may you always be surrounded by those who love and adore you!

Palm Desert Girls Trip

To celebrate Neeru’s 40th Birthday this year; Mommy treated Neera and I to the desert for a few days! It was fabulous. Great food, Hindi movies, poolside hangouts and shopping….a perfect weekend. We watched “Aisha” the Indian Clueless while pampering ourselves to a very silly but funny spa evening 🙂 We stayed at the beautiful Marriot Desert Spring Villas. Thanks for a lovely weekend Mommy. I loved every minute.

Neera’s 40th Birthday 2024

Neera turned 40 this year and celebrated by hosting a beautiful garden luncheon at her home. Chaat themed food, and beautiful decor and flowers with a Mango cake. Nick and I jetsetted up and back home in the same day. That was the most dressed up I’ve ever been on a plane! It was fun 🙂
