Gilmore Girls WB Tour

Gilmore Girls celebrated their 25th Anniversary this year and in honor of that the studio tour expanded the back-lot to open up more attractions such as Luke’s’ Diner, Trivia Sessions, etc… Nick and Jatin were troopers and attended the very long day of events with me and even waited in an almost 3 hour line to get a photo in the original Luke’s Diner Set. The food overall wasn’t great but the scenes, lights and photo ops were awesome. I loved the light show they did in the evening projecting all the beautiful scenes set to the famous Luke & Lorelai song. Bonus – we got to see the Harry Potter and DC Exhibits on the way out.

12:30pm – We jumped on a 1 hour tram ride of the WB Backlot. Then headed to stars hollow. Jatin was a champ and got in the Luke’s Diner line while Nick and I roamed around for some photos and Trivia. In Omnia Paratus (Ready For Anything!)

We finally made it into the original set where Luke’s Diner scenes were filmed and ordered coffees, mini pancakes and donuts to go. Got to take some photos of the set, and then headed into the next door set where the Ice Cream Shoppe was to chill for a while. We saw Scott Patterson the actor who plays Luke while in line as well.

Nick and I ordered a “Santa Burger” and read through the Stars Hollow Gazette. Burger was gross with Cream Cheese but true to the way it looked on screen. We toured Kim’s Antiqued, saw the awesome Bjork inspired SnowGirl, and peeked in on the Dragonfly Inn where tea service was happening.

Later we walked around the square a bit more. Saw Stars Hollow High, Al’s Pancake World (which is a Chinese restaurant), and almost stole Corn Starch from Dose’s Market!

I got to see Lorelai’s House, Her awesome dollhouse, Rory’s study tree from Yale and the 1001 yellow daisy’s. Jatin checked out the Stars Hollow Old School Video Store with VHS tapes and we saw the tree lighting ceremony and guess what “I Smell Snow” – it started snowing 🙂

We popped into the Harry Potter Exhibit and saw Wonder Woman’s Wings & an awesome Gremlin on our way out!
