Nick won his 9th Main Event with One Main in 2023. To celebrate the company sent us to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for a 3 day event to honor the 200 employees out of 9,000 who made the cut! We stayed at the HardRock Guitar Hotel. It was absolutely lovely and as usual we extended our stay by an extra day to make the most of the trip!
We arrived a day ahead of schedule but most of Saturday was spent traveling. On Sunday we enjoyed a lovely brunch at RISE *excellent Orange Juice, followed by registration and then a relaxing afternoon by the pool sipping Pina Coladas. That evening we freshened up and headed to the welcome reception garden party hosted poolside at the hotel. 2 of Nick’s managers made the trip as well (Brenda & Ish, Randy & Theresa)
The next morning we attended the breakfast recognition ceremony. After the ceremony we changed up and got ready for our excursion of the day. We hopped on a bus and had a lunch in town followed by a water taxi tour of some celebrity homes. Gus & Isabel were part of our tour as well!
That evening we had just a bit of time to rest up and then boarded another bus where the company rented out Top Golf for an evening filled with games, food and flowing drinks! We played some pool, watched Tom and others hit some balls and enjoyed the evening!
For the final day Nick and I decided to try a “spa day” instead of an outing. And it was AMAZING. We each had an hour Swedish massage full of aromatherapy and ending with “sound healing bowls”. Once we reconvened in the common space we enjoyed hanging out in the Himalayan Salt Room, drinking some refreshing coconut water and just taking in the lovely, relaxing vibes and atmosphere. We spent the afternoon by the pool and ordered up some tapas poolside.
For the final evenings events we went to a location called the “Carousel Club”. It resides on a horse racing property where they host outdoor events. The theme for that evening was Carnival. There were circus style performers, a live band, a bar that was made from a vintage carousel, fairground games, palm readers and tarot card reads. That evening the also announced next years event will be held in New Orleans! Nick was a good sport and agreed to get his palm read for the first time! She was quite fun….told him that he’s meant to be in a leadership role, and that his most important month is October (my birthday). She told me that I’m mean’t to run a creative business and that my most important month is July (Nick’s birthday). She said that we are a dynamic, powerful couple and shine bright when together which is awesome, (but can attract “haters”). She said Nick had walked this earth before and then said that our children need more sleep and one in particular needs someone to sleep with them. Pretty crazy stuff! Michelle & I got our groove on on the dance floor…and Tony the Trump Supporter shared his life stories about his body building days in his 50s! With the drinks flowing there are always some crazy stories on the last night but it’s an absolute blast.
I’m very proud of Nick for winning yet another Main Event! Let’s hope we see everyone again in New Orleans for 2025! Cheers. Here are a few of the photos taken from the professional photographer at the event.
