Well our new normal isn’t quite normal but everyone is adjusting to our new lives during the pandemic. The news has not been covering the pandemic at all for a few weeks now after a black lives matter movement has taken precedence after the murder of George Floyd. This year has officially been a very dynamic and historical moment in time with such huge disruptions to what we called normal. It has inspired and changed us all in many ways. For me my art has kicked into high gear as an expression of love and hope that we can all be kind to one another.

We celebrated Daddy’s 77th Birthday in the backyard over San Carlos deli- lasagna and cannolis.

I got a new grill gifted by Nick and Jatin since my current grill has been out of commission for a few years. I’m totally in love and have learned to make Japanese Hibachi, Mexican Street tacos and Korean Barbecue from scratch! Welcome Blackstone Grill! I think you’re my favorite purchase of 2020!

We hosted a kick off to summer shin dig for the parents and tested out our skills on the grill! I even got to get jatin and I professional aprons. Jatin loves hanging out with his Nana, Nani , Dada and Dadi and enjoyed hearing Dadajis stories from the 1992 riots in Los Angeles.

We have of course been enjoying the pool and backyard even more than ever. Aanika is a mermaid and tested out her goggles.

More pictures and stories coming….what a year.
