Jatin’s 3rd Grade Open House

Jatin is going to be finishing 3rd grade soon and he recently performed a dance with his classmates to celebrate during the annual open house.

Here are a few other still shots from the afternoon. My favorite is the writing piece Jatin created about my brownies. Take a look 🙂

Halloween School Parade 2015

First time I had to photograph 2 kiddos at the same time during their Halloween Parade at school. A bit hectic for me, but the kids had a blast! And just to complete the morning Aanika refueled her body with white milk back at the classroom! I know….whaat….the things kids will do at school 😉

Jatin’s 2nd Grade Open House

Jatin had his 2nd grade open house this evening. His classroom along with the other 2nd graders did a dance native to Ireland. He was also very excited to show off some of the work and projects he completed throughout the year including the mailing of “Flat Jatin” who traveled along with his cousin Aakash across the globe. Hard to believe this kiddo is already done with 2nd grade! Time is flying 🙂

Halloween 2014

Halloween was awesome this year! Minnie Mouse and Ash from Pokemon entered our house! I got to attend both kids parades this year. Aanika had me walk in the parade with her thus the lack of photos from her school parade, but all in all it was fun! Jatin and I turned our pumpkin into Pikachu from Pokemon which seemed very fitting. We hosted our usual troops of ghouls and goblins for an evening of trick o treating! We were joined by Fianna, Joseph, Abraham, Eligh, Harnek and Jonas along with the families! All in all a GREAT Halloween! Lot’s of memorable crazy photos below! 🙂 read more

Jatin’s 1st Day of 2nd Grade

Jatin officially started 2nd grade this week! He was very excited to meet his old buddies. He chose his new backpack, lunchbox and all his first week back clothes! He found the batman one he’s wearing below the funniest!

Jatin’s Crested Porcupine

Jatin’s big 1st grade project was to research and present a report about the Crested Porcupine from Africa. He did a wonderful job in his speaking presentation as well as showcasing an artistic representation of the animal. We used toothpicks, matches, and Styrofoam to put together his awesome animal! He got lot’s of ooohhs and ahhhhs during his presentation and was the only kid to conclude his presentation with a few porcupine related jokes! He also danced the African “PataPata” on back to school night with a gorgeous head mask that he decorated himself. Click to see his report write-up. read more

Jatin’s About Me Poster

This week in school Jatin was asked to work on an “about me” poster and to showcase the things he likes. Some drawings, clippings, pictures and stickers made a very cute and very full collage. I thought it turned out superb! We present it to his class on Monday. He’s very excited and very proud of his creation. A fun snapshot of some of the stuff he’s into these days.
