Summer Vibes Part 2 – 2024

Summer continued to be fun and busy! Jatin and I took a tour of Cal Arts, Nick and I got a few more beach trips in, Avinash Aunty turned 90, Aanika joined her Nani for a shopping trip, and Nick and I took Jatin to his first trip to the Hollywood Bowl to watch movie music composed by John Williams! Neera and Nikki, Naya and Nareen came to visit and we finally got to do a beach day together! Also got to see Sheila Masi, Maya and Nisha over the summer. Aanika started watching Knight Rider again (just like her Daddy) and Neera and I got to catchup with Kanika over FaceTime! Lot’s of get togethers, fun in the sun, splashing around. Jatin has fallen in love with jewelry! (His request for back to school shopping) Next up…senior year for Jatin and 7th grade for Aanika! read more

Summer Vibes Part 1 – 2024

We’ve been enjoying the last month. Trying to get in more relaxing time in the yard. We had a temporary feathered visitor named Borek in our front garden 🙂 Aanika has been enjoying swimming again. Jatin’s best friend and neighbor Mark graduated from high school! The kids celebrated their last day of school in style, Nick and I have been on a few nature hikes, Aanika is continuing to ride, and she even found a Little Mermaid “Ursula” book in Home Goods with me! Jatin attended his end of the year band banquet. We got to see both Kiran Bua, Masi & Prabhu Uncle, and we celebrated the grand opening on Sukham’s Pizza Twist here in the valley. We’ve been frequenting the gym as usual and have had a few girl hangouts. All in all summer has been great so far. More to come 🙂 read more

Beach Life 2023 – Zuma

Nick and I have fallen in love with the beach. Something about it allows us to take a breath, get a break from the beautiful chaos of raising a family and just be us for the day. We pack drinks, pickup breakfast burritos and grab a bit at Howdies in Malibu for lunch after we’re done soaking in the sunshine and sand! We love it more and more each time we get out there. Perhaps someday we’ll have a second place closer to the water.

June 2023 Fun

June marked the beginning of summer vacation for Jatin and Aanika! Aanika said farewell to elementary school and took the sweetest picture with her buddy Liam! Jatin hosted his band friends over for a kickback to officially celebrate summer! Nick and I took the kids for a hike on Fathers Day morning and did some plant hunting at a local nursery! We enjoyed a beautiful day off at at The Grove and totally loved the amazing farmers market! Aanika got back on her horse after recovering from her broken arm. All in all some very special memories shared in the early part of June. read more

Family Beach Day

First every Gundara Beach day was a success! We packed lots of snacks, drinks and marbles and headed to Zuma for the day! We were pleasantly surprised that Aanika lasted 4+ hours on the beach enjoying the sunshine and crashing waves! We even had a lovely meal at islands afterwards!! Perfect Sunday.

Malibu Beach Day

Nick and I finally got away from work and spent the day at the beach. Not just a drive or walk, literally packed up a cooler, lathered on the sunblock and headed to a day in the sun – Malibu – Zuma. We unplugged, held hands, listened to tunes while watching the ocean waves and enjoyed every precious moment. This is 20 years together. #marryyourbestfriend

Neera Nikki Naya And Naveen Summer Visit

It’s been such a fun few weeks. We got back from our trip to the bay on Monday and Neeru flew in with the kids to LA on wed! Nikki joined a day later. This trip was a big WIN for our family. Aanika, Naya and Naveen coexisted so beautifully. They played all day saturday, took a dip in the pool, played marbles, ate dinner together and watched a movie together. It was like magic. Nick’s 45th Birthday & CAX 2022!

This lovely guy turned 45 years young today! We celebrated by going to Dave N Busters for some old fashioned gaming followed by tea and cake from portos with the family and an evening at home. We left the next day for CAX so the celebrations continued in the bay.

Headed up north!! Please notice our awesome AniVani luggage! 🧳🧳 We stopped in Bakersfield for our favorite breakfast at 82 and some antiquing.

All checked in an on our way to dinner with Neera, Nikki and the kiddos!


The boys spent Saturday at CAX while I got to tag along with the Narang clan for the day! We started with a lovely hike at the wetlands followed by lunch in Los Altos and then tea at home. Neeru and I both rocked out AniVani gear 🙂 I met back up with the boys in the evening for In N Out followed by a series of video game themed concerts back at the hotel. read more
