Disneyland 2023

Nick asked “What do you want for your birthday?” Well…haven’t been to Disneyland since before the pandemic…:) heheh. Well the two of us headed to Disneyland for 2 days and California Adventure for the third day. It was certainly an adventure!

First off I must give a lot of love and credit for my amazing partner in crime and best friend…he’s not a Disney nut like I am but has supported this obsession of mine for over 20 years! Everything is done from an app now and I mean everything…from booking rides, reservations, food pickup, shopping checkout. While all of that was overwhelming and drained my battery … one fun thing was the use of AI immersed in your camera as you took selfies throughout the lands! read more

Disneyland 2015

Our annual Disneyland Trip was paired with the Anaheim Mecum Auction. We stayed out for 3 days and hopped between Mecum and Disneyland. You’ll see a very studious Aanika sporting my glasses at the hotel that was just toooo cute! Luckily Aanika liked having her new Monkey Backpack on at Disneyland which allowed us the freedom to walk around a bit easier than last year. Highlights – Jatin went on Indiana Jones and Splash Mountain for the first time and was scared, SCARED, SCAAAARREED on both of them but was a trooper and went along with it for Nick and I! And our lovely Aanika LOVED flying on Dumbo! In the evening Nick got us out of the crowds and we had a completely private dinner at Aladdin’s restaurant in Adventure Land. Aanika wasn’t thrilled with the ‘scary house’ Haunted Mansion but loved meeting Mickey. See ya next year Mickey!

Aanika’s First Trip To Disneyland!

We started a new tradition this year. Mecum auction comes to LA once a year in the fall, so the boys get their auction / car fix while we get our yearly Disneyland trip! This year it was extra special being Aanika’s first time to the Magic Kingdom. She absolutely loved meeting Goofey, Pluto, Mickey & Minnie and enjoyed the Dumbo ride. We also took her on Mr. Toads Wild Ride, Snow White and a few other fantasy land rides. While Aanika seemed to enjoy all the sites and sounds prior to going on the ride my darling “big boy Jatin” was extra scared of some of the “creepy sights and sounds!” 🙂 He was a trooper though and went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride with Nick in the evening. We watched a fantastic Holiday parade and watched a Shakespearean version of Beauty and The Beast. I took the kids for a little shopping trip in the evening where Aanika very quickly chose Pocahontas her latest “baby.” We had a lovely dinner outside on main street and headed back to our hotel just in time to watch the fireworks from our room. All in all a very successful trip to Disney!
