Our beautiful Aanika turned 12 today. She requested Sushi for dinner and to see her Nana and Nani! So that’s exactly what we did. We had a low key, celebration over tea and cake at home 🙂 And we made sure her favorite second Mama Candy was there too 🙂
Aanika is very into the Little Mermaid right now so she got a LM themed cake and we got her the whole set of figurines from the movie. Since we kept the celebration small this year o dresses up Aanikas dolls to help us celebrate 🎉
Nick took the entire week of his birthday off this year! It was awesome since the kids were home for summer holidays as well we were relaxed and able to enjoy some much needed relaxation and FUN! We had a beach day, tested out some new restaurants and of course there was cake!
Some highlights include taking Jatin to Pijja Palace followed by Button Mash for the first time.
Another evening we headed to Korean BBQ – Ayce Gogi.
We hosted a small hangout birthday party at home with siblings and best friends. I thought the golden crowned lion was fitting as his centerpiece! Birthday boy has a heart of gold, is our loyal Leo the lion and loves his life with honor.
Neera, Nikki, Naya and Naveen came into town to celebrate Daddy’s 80th Birthday Weekend! We had a beautiful lunch at Boccacios in Westlake on Saturday and Sunday Brunch at our place before they had to head home.
Our amazing mommy turned 70 years young this year and her request was a girls trip with Neera and I! So off we went to Newport Beach for a 2 day lovely trip. We got lucky and enjoyed sunshine crisp weather the first two days and pouring rain as we said goodbye to the beautiful city on Sunday morning.
Mommy and I started our adventure at Southcoast Plaza, lunch at Nordstrom Cafe and some light shopping at the Gucci Store! Once we picked up Neeru then we watched. Bad Moms Christmas on Tv at the hotel, chatted up a storm and had an amazing Indian dinner at the Royal Khyber Restaurant. The following morning we took a spectacular walk along the beach, admired the beach front homes and then off to Fashion Island for some more Light shopping at Bloomingdale’s for a YSL purse. Had a lovely time people watching for the latest jeans trends at the Bloomingdale’s Cafe for lunch and had dinner in at the bar that evening. We woke up to pouring rain but made it back in time for me to catch Jatins performance at the Chatsworth Holiday parade where his band took home the fist prize!
Jatin has had a very busy year! He’s been slammed with school work and juggling after school practice for band and his weekends have been consumed with marching band competitions. He continues to excel brilliantly at school so we decided to have some friends over this year to ring in his 15th Birthday.
On the morning of his birthday Jatin enjoyed his yearly breakfast pancakes and a cup of coffee! That evening we took him to Benihana for dinner.
Nick and I took the day off to celebrate my 43rd Birthday! We went to Manhattan Beach for a lovely bike ride followed by lunch at the strand and shopping. In the evening I saw mommy and daddy for tea and then the kiddos and Nick and I had dinner and strawberry shortcake from Whole Foods at home. Fun, Blessed, Fresh Air and Surrounded by Loved Ones all day. A perfect Birthday.
Our Aanika Beauty turned 11 this year! Its been quite a while since she’s had a party so we invited a few of her friends from summer camp to celebrate with her! The whole party was Aanika themed: balloons, parachute with balls, bubbles galore, ping pong toss and water spray tag! 🥳
For the day of her birthday before the party Aanika celebrated with a pancake breakfast at home, a day at school then requested a Happy Meal for dinner. Then Nick and I gave her a new wooden marble run and watched Totoro!
Our beautiful mommy/nani turned 70 this year! We had to celebrate in style and hosted a lovely backyard dinner party at her and Daddy’s home. Cornucopia Events catered. There was singing, dancing, cake and speeches. Overall a beautiful way to celebrate the queen of the family!

Naya and Aanika matched and Naveen wore a shirt gifted by his Nani! The kids enjoyed playing golf on Nana’s new putting green.
This lovely guy turned 45 years young today! We celebrated by going to Dave N Busters for some old fashioned gaming followed by tea and cake from portos with the family and an evening at home. We left the next day for CAX so the celebrations continued in the bay.

The boys spent Saturday at CAX while I got to tag along with the Narang clan for the day! We started with a lovely hike at the wetlands followed by lunch in Los Altos and then tea at home. Neeru and I both rocked out AniVani gear 🙂 I met back up with the boys in the evening for In N Out followed by a series of video game themed concerts back at the hotel.
