Aanika’s 11th Birthday

Our Aanika Beauty turned 11 this year! Its been quite a while since she’s had a party so we invited a few of her friends from summer camp to celebrate with her! The whole party was Aanika themed: balloons, parachute with balls, bubbles galore, ping pong toss and water spray tag! 🥳

For the day of her birthday before the party Aanika celebrated with a pancake breakfast at home, a day at school then requested a Happy Meal for dinner. Then Nick and I gave her a new wooden marble run and watched Totoro! read more

Aanika’s Horse Riding Lessons

Out Aanika finally got to start her weekly horse riding lessons! Shes had exactly 1 month of lessons and is doing brilliantly! We went from not even wanting to wear the helmet to staying on Gus her horse for 15 minutes while throwing a ball back and forth with her trainer! We’re so PROUD of her. 🐴❤️

Feb – Early March 2022

February has been a lot about getting back into a routine post all the holidays and making sure we’re all making time to celebrate each other and enjoy life everyday. We’ve been getting our fitness game on even more and have been taking walks at our favorite et park and found a new beautiful hangout at Chatswoth park as well. The month of love…but for us every day is a reason to love and be grateful for this beautiful thing called life.

Love is in the air ❤️ Nick and I had some lovely dates to the palisades and Malibu and park evenings to just recoup and enjoy some quiet time. Jatin gifted me a ostrich beanie baby which is creepy and cute all in one! Aanika cuddled up with her daddy briefly before pouncing on him like a baby tiger! Crazy and In love. The Adventures of Aanika!

Aanika loves to go on walks with Candy and Amanda. She loves to climb the Chatsworth rocks, sits and enjoy natures, visits the horses along the bike path and even hops the train tracks on occasion.

Aanika’s 9th Birthday – 2020

Our beautiful, unicorn Aanika turned 9 today! She woke up with her usual sweet “good morning mommy, let’s go downstairs and get something to eat.” She then proceeded to pickup her calculator and call her Nani to see if she was coming over. I told her that her Nani and Nana would be joining us for cake time.

Aanika and Jatin had zoom school until noon and then we all did presents and cake over their lunch. Aanika was most excited for her Peppa Pig cake decorations and her new lipglosses!

After school we quit work a bit early and took the kids swimming. 107 degrees end of September…only in LA.

Aanika requested cheeseburgers and vanilla ice cream for dinner so we picked up food from the habit. She’s a cutie pie! Growing up more and more every day and this year especially being home seems to be helping her quite a bit.

Love you Unicorn Aanika. You are amazing. Thanks for keeping us all laughing beautiful.

Aanika’s DIY Dollhouse

It’s been on my crafty mom to do list for several years. I decided to finally make Aanika a dollhouse out of recycled materials. We started with a rite aid box that brought up precious toilet paper a few days ago lol and then built the inside out of stacked shoeboxes. Once the structure was in place I papered all the walls and ceilings with craft paper, and a few special embellishments like a mini family portrait and a piece of Aanikas art work for the main great room wall! It turned out adorable and our little Aaniku loves it. Might just make more for fun 🙂

The big reveal took place a day later once all the glue had dried.

Aanika’s 8th Birthday

Aanika turned 8 this year! And it happened to fall on a Jewish holiday so the kids had no school! Mommy hung out with the babies in the morning and then I joined them in the afternoon. We went to the park where Jatin got stung by a bee, Aanika enjoyed the swings and slide and I felt like my 8 year old self by hanging upside down from the bars! We picked up a delicious ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and decorated it with hand painted dolls I bought on Etsy for Aanikas collection. Neeru gifted Aanika the beautiful Snow White doll she wanted. Her Nani and Nana spoiled her gorgeous winter jackets, clothes, a princess Anna doll and lots of nail polishes and lip glosses! We cut cake and enjoyed pizza from Amecis in the evening. All in all a fun, easy going Birthday for our beautiful baby girl.

Aanika’s 1st Movie Theater Visit

My beautiful baby Aanika watched her first in theater movie Toy Story 4 this summer. It was very fitting since Jatin’s first movie was Toy Story 3! She did pretty well. Requested popcorn “chips” and watched about an hour of the film before wanting to watch her movies on my phone 🙂

Aanika’s 7th Birthday!

Our beautiful baby girl Aanika turned 7 years old today. We had a low key birthday focused just on what we thought she would enjoy. Park in the morning followed by burgers at her request for lunch. Then a trip to the grocery store to buy the ingredients for her home made birthday cake followed by a shopping spree at the dollar tree where she bought whatever toys and balloons she wanted. Happy Birthday my beautiful baby girl! May all your dreams come true.
