Nick and I joined Brody, Gee, Neha and Brody’s friend Aubrey for a day at universal studios and the new Nintendo world to celebrate Brody’s Birthday! We learned that Brody loves John Cena – the worlds strongest man and that he doesn’t love roller coasters – much like his big brother Jatin. Bowsers lair is amazing when in line for the Mario kart ride! And of course both the Gundara brothers won huge toys for the boys playing basketball 🙂 Gee told us a funny story – beeboop beeboop…
Aanika turned 8 this year! And it happened to fall on a Jewish holiday so the kids had no school! Mommy hung out with the babies in the morning and then I joined them in the afternoon. We went to the park where Jatin got stung by a bee, Aanika enjoyed the swings and slide and I felt like my 8 year old self by hanging upside down from the bars! We picked up a delicious ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and decorated it with hand painted dolls I bought on Etsy for Aanikas collection. Neeru gifted Aanika the beautiful Snow White doll she wanted. Her Nani and Nana spoiled her gorgeous winter jackets, clothes, a princess Anna doll and lots of nail polishes and lip glosses! We cut cake and enjoyed pizza from Amecis in the evening. All in all a fun, easy going Birthday for our beautiful baby girl.
Jatin decided that for his birthday this year he wanted to have a few of his local friends from school over for a playdate at home. He said he really didn’t want to go out anywhere but would rather enjoy his house and all the toys that come with it! From 5pm – 10pm on Friday night 10/30/2015 the Gundara house was as loud, rambunctious and fun as could be. We started the evening off with a little light dancing to Gangnam Style followed buy a quick game of basketball. Once that was completed the boys decided to rest and play a few games of Mario Maker followed by a very special introduction into Daddy’s special 1980’s arcade! Pizza was served with coca cola and good old fashioned jokes and laughter surrounded the table of seven, 8 year old’s. Once tummies were full we had a few awesome games of tag in the dark back yard as well as an awesome experiment watching our mouths catch lightning from chewing Wint O Green Mints! After some more running around, and glowstick time, we played a game of Who can catch the Pokeball on Charizard along with a Pokeball themed cake! Once the food and games were done, Goonies was shown on the DigiPlex big screen!
All in all I think it was a pretty successful birthday party!
Aanika turned 4 years old today! She has so much energy, and her sparkly personality is hard to miss! She loves Kiki’s Delivery Service, her baby dolls and Caillou. She loves to dance, spin in circles and play in her tent. She helps her mama water plants around the house and in the backyard and loves to follow her brother and daddy into the arcade for some game time! Her favorite little person is her cutie pie cousin Naya. She dances just like her brother to the Knight Rider theme song and loves it when her Daddy sings to her! “I vike that!” Happy Birthday to our little Monkey, Princess, Flying Gorgeous Baby Girl. We LOVE you!
