Grinkfest 7 – Eagle Idaho 2019

We attended our fourth year of grinkfest at Grinkers Grand Palace Arcade in Eagle Idaho this year. As usual it fell right on my birthday! This year we flew in a day ahead of the tournament and met up with Mark, Sam and Aaron for dinner and Joker the movie in Boise.

The following morning we went for a lovely breakfast at Goldies in downtown eagle, checked out a local art store and walked downtown a bit before heading to Eagle. Checked into the hotel and then met up with everyone at Grinkers to begin the days events. Aaron managed to get warehouse keys from Steve the owner of Grinkers o the 5 of us headed off for a covert warehouse tour followed by an old fashioned corn maze and petting zoo! read more

CAX 2019 + Nicks 42nd Birthday

Started our trip in Santa Maria and San Louis Obispo so Nick could make a few branch visits. Went to Nicks favorite park and had breakfast at the black bear diner before heading to San Jose.

We had 3 days in the Bay Area area and celebrated Neera and Nikki’s 10th wedding anniversary followed by Nicks 42nd Birthday and attended California Extreme 2019 at the Santa Clara Hyatt.

Spring Break 2019

Went to our favorite Mandalay beach resort in Oxnard this year for the kids spring break. Had a gorgeous presidential suite so the kids had their own room. Gorgeous beach balcony views. Went with the flow: beach, pool, pizza, relaxing. It was a lot of fun! Perfect type of vacation for our crazy unique family.

Nashville 2019

Nick made The Main Event again this year which was hosted in Nashville! We were not overly excited to attend but ended up absolutely loving it!! I got my first pair of cowboy boots, and we went clay shooting for the first time. Made some great friends and enjoyed country hip hop fusion music!

Vegas 16 Year Wedding Anniversary

Spent a few days out in Vegas to celebrate our 16 year anniversary. Stayed in our favorite Cosmopolitan suite with a view of the gorgeous Bellagio fountains. Watched the MJ live show at the stratosphere. Beautiful, relaxing few days.

Ate: Pizza in the room. Watched: Eddie Murphy delirious and Netflix You.

Visited: cosmopolitan, park mgm eataly, encore, Wynn, Link, Harrahs, belaggio, planet Hollywood, stratosphere.

India 2018 – part 6 – Travel

Shopping in Ludhiana Wave Mall. Met the sales people’s 3 month quota in one day so he wanted a photo with us!

After the wedding was done we decided to spend a night in chandigarh. Nick had our driver Bunty take us to his grandparents home where he lived as a child. The house was torn down but it was still lovely to take a trip down memory lane with him.

3 houses down we ran into the family who knew Nick growing up as their 3 children played with him. Nick remembers their library of Archie and Tintin comics that he would borrow from. read more

India 2018 – part 5 – The Reception

Arjun and Isha’s Reception.

Had the pleasure of getting ready wish Isha darling for the reception so we got to hang out a bit before the party started. Wore my engagement lengha for the first time in 16 years!! Party was stunning. Felt like the Bellagio was transported into Punjab. Every part of the world was represented in amazing cuisine and the service was uhhhmazzing. Basically it felt like we were movie stars all night.

India 2018 – part 2 – Nat Farmhouse, Arjun’s Vatna

After a day in Delhi we headed over to Ludhiana to meet the family for Arjuns wedding! After a very long and eye opening 6 hours we checked into the Hyatt in Ludhiana and then pushed off to the Nat Farm House for dinner. That’s when the fun started!

Vatna Ceremony – morning before the wedding. I have never had such fresh and delicious Paratas as in the outdoor kitchen of the farmhouse. We then blessed Arjun to get him ready for the big day while the house was getting decorated for the evening Sangeet festivities. read more
