Billy’s 3rd Birthday

Darling Billy turned 3 Thanksgiving weekend! Both him and Brownie got baths that morning to celebrate! They came back fluffy and full of smiles.

We also took Aanika to ET park for some fresh air and sunshine. We have now officially entered another quarantine period. Covid cases have risen pretty high in LA county so right after we visited the park it became official that parks, outdoor dining, outdoor gyms and bars will all official be closed. Thank goodness for my crazy, lovely family who keep fun in our lives given everything 2020 has brought. read more

Ferrari

Okay so we’re only a few years off the goal of Nick getting a Ferrari by the time he was 40! It’s stunning! Shiny red, black interior and sounds like a sports car! Aanika LOVES it and wants to go for a drive every time she sees it! She has a love for speed and curves and the sound the engine makes just like her daddy.

Election, Diwali and Thanksgiving 2020

Everything was a little simpler and quieter this year but we still enjoyed the festivities. On Diwali we did a small Pooja at home and then Nick, Jatin and I headed to to the strangers thing drive through experience.

We’ve been enjoying our usual scrabble, Monopoly deal and cover your assets game nights, and Aanika had started to join us in the front room while we play while on her iPad or coloring with the occasional dance breakout.

Jan – August 2020

Hilariously written 😂 (I do not know by whom)! And I do want it in my memories 😉if we survive 2020!

Dear Diary 2020 Edition,

In ❄️ January, 🔥 Australia caught on fire. I don’t even know if that fire was put out, because we straight up almost went to war with Iran 🇮🇷 . We might actually still be almost at war with them 🤔. I don’t know, because 👩 Jen Aniston and 👨🏻 Brad Pitt spoke to one another at an awards 🏆 show and everyone flipped the crap out 😲, but then there was this thing happening in 🦇 🇨🇳 China, then 👑 Prince Harry and Megan ✌🏼 peaced out of the Royal family, and there was the whole impeachment trial 👩‍⚖️ , and then corona virus 🦠 showed up in the US ✔️“officially,” but then 🏀 Kobe died 😭and UK 🇬🇧 peaced out of the European Union. read more

Quarantine Life – June 2020

Well June was no less dramatic then all the months before hand in 2020. We are continuing to stay at home as much as possible and the kids are officially on summer break. Jatin is growing like a weed and Nick thinks his voice is going to change soon! We’ve gone and walked the mall twice now as our Friday date in masks but shopping is definitely not the same anymore.

We started playing monopoly deal and are totally addicted! Jatin is a champ and kinda ruthless!

We also celebrated Father’s Day. Nick went for a early morning ride and the kids and I snuck out to get him donuts and get his dad basket ready. Then Daddy and Mommy joined us in the garden for some pakoras and donuts. Nick made a point to do something special with this kids individually. Aanika of course got her ride with her daddy in the Porsche while Jatin and him played some of their favorite games. read more

Well the boys will he boys and my goodness the quarantine has brought us all closer than ever and nick and jatin are best friends-father and son in the cutest way! They have started daily workouts and have a home gym setup in the backyard. Jatin can’t do pull ups yet so he hangs on the bar to build strength.

The epic coke and milk recipe was handed down. Milk first. Ice cold coke on top.

The arcade has become a hangout for all things including commemorating the 40th anniversary of pac man by building a custom coaster. read more

COVID-19 May-June 2020

Well our new normal isn’t quite normal but everyone is adjusting to our new lives during the pandemic. The news has not been covering the pandemic at all for a few weeks now after a black lives matter movement has taken precedence after the murder of George Floyd. This year has officially been a very dynamic and historical moment in time with such huge disruptions to what we called normal. It has inspired and changed us all in many ways. For me my art has kicked into high gear as an expression of love and hope that we can all be kind to one another. read more

COVID-19 Mother’s Day and More

Mother’s Day was lovely this year. I slept in and got coffee and cards in bed followed by a road trip to mom and dads and then over to McDonald’s to pickup breakfast. In the afternoon we swam, Aanika and I rocked our matching outfits and we ordered Greek Food. It was perfect.

Everyone is doing well and staying positive and safe during the never ending stay at home orders. It looks like things won’t be lifted until July so we are continuing to live life and have fun everyday. Lots of outside play time. Daily walks even in the rain! Video Games. Netflix and Chill – until Aanika wakes up lol. Family car rides. Time to enjoy and cherish the little things. ❤️ read more

COVID-19 quarantine week 2

We’ve finished 2 weeks at home with the kids. It’s been an adventure for sure but starting to get into the rhythm of things. We had one social distancing hang out with the neighbors before that was banned and have been taking the kids for drives. Watching tiger king on Netflix and I’m teaching jatin how to cook! Some snapshots below. The first one is what grocery shopping is like these days.

Jatin has the best home school environment I town 🙂
