Summer Vacation 2025

Jatin, Nick and I had a lovely trip up north for our usual California Xtreme video game hangout and family time! We broke up the journey by staying in Pismo Beach on Thursday night. We spent the day at the beach and dinner followed by some pool in the evening. We also went to see the rocks where hundreds of birds live. Beautiful and smelly!!! I love Pismo Beach. Can’t wait to get back out there.

We had matching jackets made for the boys to wear with the SlikkNikk brand and a custom sweater made for me 🙂 Jatin officially “debuted” as Slikk-J rather than SlikkNikk Junior 🙂 The boys also were trying to figure out a “sign” for “SlikkMob” which lead us laughing a lot 🙂 We had a lot of fun joking about that throughout the trip! read more

22nd Wedding Anniversary – Rancho Mirage

Nick and I enjoyed a quick getaway to Rancho Mirage at the Westin Golf Resort. Celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary with a lot of rest and relaxation, sunshine, and watching the beautiful view from our room, the ducks, water, golfers and more. We attended the Glowfest Evening at the Palm Desert Zoo the evening of our anniversary followed by In-N-Out and milkshakes in the car while charging *just like old times 🙂 The zoo had the most beautiful Giraffes I’ve ever seen and so close up! They also had a beautiful light display of the Chinese Zodiac Signs. The descriptions are pretty spot on. Happy Anniversary to Us! Cheer’s to many many more! read more

December 2023 – Other Cute Memories

December is alway jam packed with adventure and fun celebrating the closing of another year. Sometimes I can’t categorize all the great memories so below is bundling of a few more moments that were precious. Nani and Nana hangout time with Aanika. Tina got engaged! Aakash and Jatin truly share the same blood line *it shows in their amazing moppy hairstyles! Jatin LOVES to bulk and gets caught eating a lot! Aanika did a little Christmas shopping. Jatin went to the Winter Formal with his best friends *the future leaders of America (what I like to call them). Baby Gia is the cutest little butterball ever!! I discovered a series of amazing selfies from my beautiful husband on my phone 🙂 Kai, Jace, Gia and Brody shared their Christmas Morning photos. They are all such cutie patooties! I created a waffle bar for one of our pre-Christmas evening gifts. Nick and Aanika cuddled and had lot’s of silly moments. Jatin started to shave on his own!! Happy December! read more

Spring Break 2023

We booked a few days at a home near the beach in Oxnard for the kids spring break again this year. Bonus was Neera and Nikki had the same spring break schedule so they came to town at the same time!! We were very proud of Aanika. She was great while eating out, playing with Naya and Naveen and even while boating. Positive progress for the whole family! Whooohoo! We got Nana and Nani to join us for the day for some pizza at Toppers and a harbor boat outing. Nick and I got to take our favorite magical walk in the alleys of the beach homes while our amazing son Jatin watched Aanika and the 3 of us watched some Better Call Saul on the big screen while Aanika watched some Cobra Kai in her cute room. All in all a very positive spring break vacation! read more

Nick’s 45th Birthday & CAX 2022!

This lovely guy turned 45 years young today! We celebrated by going to Dave N Busters for some old fashioned gaming followed by tea and cake from portos with the family and an evening at home. We left the next day for CAX so the celebrations continued in the bay.

Headed up north!! Please notice our awesome AniVani luggage! 🧳🧳 We stopped in Bakersfield for our favorite breakfast at 82 and some antiquing.

All checked in an on our way to dinner with Neera, Nikki and the kiddos!


The boys spent Saturday at CAX while I got to tag along with the Narang clan for the day! We started with a lovely hike at the wetlands followed by lunch in Los Altos and then tea at home. Neeru and I both rocked out AniVani gear 🙂 I met back up with the boys in the evening for In N Out followed by a series of video game themed concerts back at the hotel. read more

April 2022 Part 1

Well to start we have some big news! We officially launched AniVani.com on March 28, 2022! We’re so excited and look forward to seeing it grow!!!

Neera, Nikki, Naya and Naveen spent their spring break in LA and we also got to meet up with Ayesha and Tricia while they were visiting after filming in Mexico!

We took the kids and doggies to Oxnard for 2 days for their Spring Break. We rented a beautiful 3 bedroom home right on the beach. Aanika and Jatin had their suite and rooms downstairs with the pingpong table. Out master bedroom, beach views, kitchen, living room and balcony were upstairs. We brought food in each evening and spent the day out. Billy and Brownie were able to come with us as well. Mommy and Daddy joined us for a quick pizza lunch at toppers and ice cream back at the place. Both nights we watched stand up comedy. Seinfeld one night and Sebastian Maniscalco the other. We also took the kids to Golf and Stuff and Seabridge for coffees, park time and a walk along the marina. My favorite part of the trip was when Jatin and Aanika hung out at home while Nick and I snuck off for a 40 minute walk between the side alleys of the beach homes. They are so cutely done up and the walks are romantic. Can’t wait to go back. Spring Break 2022 was a success! read more

Bay Area Visit Summer 2021

After over a year and a half we finally made the trip back up to the bay to see Neeru and Nikki’s beautiful new home and to visit Kartik and Zita and meet the kiddos!

Friday: Started the journey late morning and stopped by the Ostrich Farm! The boys thought it was time to conquer my fear and feed them in my “ostrich riding outfit!” Complete with pink ostrich egg pattern lol.

After that we continued for a bit then broke for lunch at San Louis Obispo. Please notice Jatins adorable but very messy chocolate ice cream face. read more

December 2020

Well the kids are officially on 3 weeks of winter break and nick and I are taking some time off as well. The weather has been beautiful so we’re exploring the local hiking trails more and as always playing games and eating delicious food and watching movies.

Mommy took a spin in the Ferrari with Nick and posed for some cute pictures! Maybe next time she’ll drive it too!

Aanika and I have been coloring in our festive room and she’s been enjoying watching tv and relaxing a bit more with the whole family which is a nice change.

Scrabble is officially our favorite game right now even though Jatin is getting a bit tired of it. We’ve also introduced chess into the mix after being reinspired by the Queens Gambit.

Aanika has been enjoying washing the car with Nick! Of course anything with water is always fun!

And we’re getting ready for a quiet but festive Christmas! Driving to see holiday lights, wearing festive ugly Christmas sweaters, watching the Mandalorian and lighting the fire. Love this family.

New Years Day 2020

Welcome new decade! Hard to believe 2020 is here. We’ve had a year of family growth and leaning and understanding. Here are a few notes I made of the of the things I’m proud of and thankful for:

â—¦ Nick is number 1 in his company all year long

We are looking forward to a beautiful and successful year ahead! Onward and upward filled with peace, good health, prosperity, love and light.

Spring Break 2019

Went to our favorite Mandalay beach resort in Oxnard this year for the kids spring break. Had a gorgeous presidential suite so the kids had their own room. Gorgeous beach balcony views. Went with the flow: beach, pool, pizza, relaxing. It was a lot of fun! Perfect type of vacation for our crazy unique family.
