Aanika got a perfect attendance award today 🙂 She was very excited to walk down the aisle and see Jatin in the audience. She took some pictures with her friends Pariya and Alex and of course Ms. Felix.

Aanika’s 14th Birthday!
Our beautiful princess Aanika turned 14 years old this year. She’s become quite the spunky, naughty, beautiful darling of all our homes. We adore her and her silly, mischievous, sweet disposition. She had mini cupcakes at school and her friend Alex gifted her silk flowers for her desk 🙂 He also wants to make sure she meets him at the 8th grade dance in the spring and she must wear a red bow in her hair so he can find her in the crowd on the dance floor. Aaniku’s Nani & Gulu joined us for sushi and cake and gifts. Wishing you the best year yet our beautiful child. Aanika’s Awards 2024
Aanika received 2 awards today at school! 1 was for excellent attendance *thanks to her mama 😉 and the other was for maintaining a certain gpa. The true win was her attending, walking up with a smile, no anxiety, exciting to get her prize and pose for a few pictures. Proud mama moment. She did great and she won the “best dressed” award hands down!
Aanika’s 13th Birthday 2024
We officially have 2 teenagers in the house! Aanika was gifted a variety of Villain books, backpacks and clothing most of which featured Ursula! Her Nani and Gulu Nana joined us to celebrate. Happy 13th gorgeous! May your heart stay happy, your body stay healthy and may you always be surrounded by those who love and adore you!
Aanika’s 12th Birthday!
Our beautiful Aanika turned 12 today. She requested Sushi for dinner and to see her Nana and Nani! So that’s exactly what we did. We had a low key, celebration over tea and cake at home 🙂 And we made sure her favorite second Mama Candy was there too 🙂
Aanika is very into the Little Mermaid right now so she got a LM themed cake and we got her the whole set of figurines from the movie. Since we kept the celebration small this year o dresses up Aanikas dolls to help us celebrate 🎉
Aanika’s Elementary School Graduation
Aanika cutie pie finished 5th grade today! She did well and walked and got her certificate of completion. Nick and I took her out for Chinese food after to celebrate and then we did a little shopping! Middle school here we come!
March Part 1 – 2023
March started out great…Aanika was riding her new horse Linus, we got to have Maitreyi from Never Have I ever over for brunch, and Aanika and I were enjoying our iPads and iPencils. Unfortunately then Aanika got a tummy bug, wasn’t feeling very well and ended up rolling of Jatins bed and broke her arm 🙁
The first two weeks were pretty tough. She had to be home from school for the entire month to heal. She’s such a a strong cutie pie, but all of us we’re worried and thinking about her all the time.

February 2023
February came and went so quickly. Aanika met a new horse named Linus. Unfortunately her first horse Gus passed away 🙁 My dear friend Jenny Rosson also passed so this month has been emotionally draining. We did spend a lot of our weekends with the family which was lovely. Gurpreet was visiting from England and Buaji was visiting from Tarun Bhaiyas. Jatin participated in his first MUN conference at Granada High School. We got it to meet Handy’s wife Jasmine. I had lunch with Shervin and Kazem after almost 20 years! It snowed in the valley for the first time since 1989! It’s been so cold that all the mountains became white. It was absolutely beautiful but we’re ready for sunshine again. And Nick and I finally found the cookies from my childhood and had them shipped from Canada!
