December 2020

Well the kids are officially on 3 weeks of winter break and nick and I are taking some time off as well. The weather has been beautiful so we’re exploring the local hiking trails more and as always playing games and eating delicious food and watching movies.

Mommy took a spin in the Ferrari with Nick and posed for some cute pictures! Maybe next time she’ll drive it too!

Aanika and I have been coloring in our festive room and she’s been enjoying watching tv and relaxing a bit more with the whole family which is a nice change. read more

Christmas 2019

We had a beautiful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Started with a family pajama party, Chi’s Chinese for dinner followed by opening family gifts by the fire. Aanika has thoroughly enjoyed driving through candy cane lane and looking for Santa. She also said that she wanted Santa to bring her a new doll for her this year and that is exactly what he did 🙂

Christmas Eve:

Christmas Morning Breakfast was hosted at our place. Mommy and Daddy as well as Sammy and Nisha joined us! I rocked a very festive jumpsuit that I couldn’t resist at Target! read more

Gingerbread House Party 2019

Jatin and I had Devi, Shriya and Geeta Didi over for a gingerbread decorating party today! Mimosas, pastries and lots of candies, homemade royal icing all set to the classic holiday tunes with festive clothing made for a very fun morning! Not to mention Geeta Didi’s singing and the girls amazing talents which I’m sure they have learned from the Great British Baking Show! Aanika and her dad also went for their weekly drive in the Porsche to go see horsies!

Christmas Breakfast 2017

Neeru and Fam, Mommy and Daddy joined us for Christmas Breakfast at our place! Of course French Toast, Breakfast Casserole and Mommy’s Tres Leches Cake were gobbled up! Daddy mentioned that he never imagined such blissful chaos when he came here in the 60’s! It’s welcomed craziness when all our families and kiddos get together. One of these days we’ll get a photograph of all the babies looking at the camera together 🙂

Christmas Dinner – San Diego 2017

We joined the San Diego family this year for a lovely Christmas Dinner hosted by Gee and Neha! Neha cooked a delicious meal for everyone. We decorated ugly christmas sweater cookies, while wearing ugly christmas sweaters and exchanged gifts in a secret santa extravaganza! I was so happy to finally have an excuse to by my Gremlins Christmas Sweater!

Christmas Eve 2017

We had a quiet Christmas Eve at the house this year. Pajamas, gifts, fire lit, Brownies first Christmas. Aanika LOVED her PJ Mask figurines and chapsticks she got, and Jatin got awesome Magic the Gathering Cards. A few snapshots included below.

Christmas 2017 Park Time

Neeru, Nikki, Naveen and Naya celebrated Christmas with us this year and we had a chaotic blast! We took the kiddos to the park one day and had a lovely time going on all the apparatus’s and singing our hearts out on the seesaw! The kids loved the bumpy slide while I had less luck at being graceful on it, and Aanika loved the swings and pushing everyone on them. Naya did awesome racing her Jatin Bhaiya and Daddy!

Christmas 2017 Gingerbread Houses

This year Jatin had Mark our neighbor and Neel over to decorate Gingerbread Houses. In typical boy fashion, more attention was spent on throwing and eating the candy instead of decorating! Boys will be boys. It was fun though and they had a great time. The gingerbread village lasted all of 30 minutes before it was destroyed by rambunctious play!

Naya also very meticulously decorated a beautiful gingerbread house with the help of her Masi.

Christmas 2016

Christmas was lovely as always this year. The weather actually felt like winter time should with rain and tons of wind. My goodness the wind was crazy! Anyhow – we decorated the house, played plenty of Holiday movies and music and hung out together. This year Christmas Eve was quiet just the four of us at home, and then Jatin, Nick and I headed to San Diego for Christmas Day to celebrate the Booter’s 15th Wedding Anniversary and new home. Aanika’s favorite lovely Nani came and stayed with her while we were gone. We had a lovely time at home and while out and about in San Diego. Jack Elf Gundara showed up and bounced all around our house during the holidays as well. Hard to believe the year is almost over. We’ve had a lovely, busy, awesome year. Here’s to many more! read more

Gingerbread House Making 2016

gingerbreadhouses2016-07

We decided to make Gingerbread “Graham Cracker” structures this year instead of purchasing a kit of any kind. Jatin and I made mini camping tents as our main structures plus one log cabin. Jatin and our neighbor Mark decorated their village while Aanika ran around and continued to take a stash here and a stash there of the candies 😉  The boy’s creation got swarmed by ants within 1 hour of being completed…but luckily we had already gotten the footage on camera! Happy Holidays! read more
