I am 4 years old!
I go to Montessori School Full-time and am a very inquisitive young “man”! My Daddy still calls me his baby but I tell him that I’m a BIG MAN now just like him! Daddy say’s that no matter how old or tall I am, even with a beard and my own kids some day, I am still going to always be his and Mommies BABY!

I really enjoy building cities with bridges and tunnels out of my wooden train set, wooden blocks, and anything else that seems to be a good fit for unique architecture!

I love watching Thomas the Train, Cars and some of Mom and Dad’s favorites, Chip N Dale, Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck! (They say that those shows are much better than the stuff that’s on TV TODAY!)

I’ve recently become a big brother to my little sister Aanika! Mommy and Daddy ask me to help out all the time and I’m more than happy to do things like get Mambu’s Boppy Pillow when Aanika is hungry, or hang out and read stories to calm Aanika down. Good thing she likes all the same books that I do!

Mambu and I like to listen to a lot of music especially when driving in the car to School. We jam out and get ready for our day that way. Some of my favorites are still Black Eyed Peas, Usher and the Indian song that Mambu danced to at Neera Masi’s sangeet!

I’m pretty big now, so I do a lot of stuff with my Daddy like watching Terra Nova the new dinosaur show out (I’m not even scared!), and Indy Car Racing, Playing video games, putting golf, and riding my new bike.

I have a huge vocabulary and know a lot of colors that even the grown ups in my world don’t know like: Vermilion, Chartreuse, Turquoise and Aquamarine!

I’m an avid iPad user and know all about apps, downloading games, puzzles, and coloring books.

I can write my own name, and am learning to write and sound out the letters of the alphabet and numbers.

My favorite dessert is anything chocolate – YUMMY!

I’m kinda like my Daddy – when given the choice I prefer to stay home for “Home Day’s” rather than galavant arround! I figure I’ve got such a great setup with all my toys, shows and games here – what do I need to go out for!

I am 2 years old!
I can count to 10, I know all my colors including metallic’s! My favorite book is “THE BIG MACHINE BOOK!” I love showing people the excavator with the sharp toothies, and the stretch limousine in the book. I brush my teeth with a spider man toothbrush, and drink my milk out of a big boy truck cup! My favorite shows are Caillou, Bob The Builder and Thomas The Train.

I don’t like sleeping in my crib anymore…so I sleep in a twin bed! WOW! I’m learning about going to bathroom on the potty but still like diapers 🙂

I LOVE coloring and I LOVE painting even more! (Wonder where I get that from 😉 I also know the difference between Michael Jordon, Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson. My favorite toy to play with is my “baby red car.” It’s a racing red hotwheel. I LOVE playing with cars, trucks, trains, airplanes and any kind of machine. I enjoy dancing. My favorite group is the Black Eyed Peas (especially the Boom Boom Pow song).

My favorite foods are: chocolate milk, hot cereal, chocolate chip cookies, cucumbers, toast with strawberry jam, dino nuggets, orange juice and french fries!

I enjoy singing “The Wheels On The Bus” song as well as “These are my favorite things . . . Jatin’s version.” My favorite color is red. I LOVE flossing and mint chapstick. Ohhh that reminds me, mint n chip ice cream is my favorite! I LOVE taking pictures. I show off all my cute teeth and go “CHEESE”! I talk ALL THE TIME now. I can’t document all my words now because there are just sooo many that I know!

My best friends are my Mama and Dada! I love my cozy home, and enjoy running through the house dancing and making a lot of noise! Okay that’s it for now! Will write more soon. Love, Jatin.



I’m 18 Months Old Now – May 2009
Hi Everyone! I thought it was time that I updated my page. I am a year and a half now after all! So I’ve changed quite a bit in the last 6 months or so.

I run, stand, jump and play everywhere! No more crawling for me!!

I have almost a full set of teeth and I bite! My nani got me a shirt that has a shark on it and it says “I bite!” TRUE TRUE

My vocabulary has increased a lot. I know say the following words:
Mama, Dada, Moon, Star, Doodu, Bath, Car, Tree, Tea, Why, Blue, Steve, Achi, Nana, Arju, Aaka, Teeth, Nose, Bobow, Coke, Wawa (Toothbrush), Eww

My favorite shows are: Super Why & The Super Readers, Blues Clues and Curious George

I love to hide anything I can get my hands on under the carpet or in small corners where Mama and Dada can’t find them! hehe

I’m a very picky eater but do like a select few things: Bananas, Applesauce, Hot Cereal, Milk, Cookies, Cucumbers, Occasional Pizza, Cheese Crackers, Orange Popsicles & French Fries

I’ve had 4 haircuts

I’m pretty naughty. I like to run and try and stick my hand in the toilet! Then I saw ewwww and laugh about it!

I love to snuggle with Daddy. He rubs my tummy at night while we watch TV together and that’s how I get to bed

My favorite book it “If you give a mouse a cookie”

I go through phases where I love the bath and then I hate the bath. I don’t really like water on my head!

I don’t love the heat. Kinda like my Dad. I get really hot fast and my cheeks get all flushed!

I love to explore and I’m great at memorizing and learning flash cards. Mama can put down 5 new cards and I learn them in a flash!

Everyone says I look just like my Dad (Which I do), but . . . if you look closely you’ll start to see that I actually have Mama’s eyebrows and smile 🙂

Hi! My name is Jatin Singh Gundara!
I was born on October 19th, 2007 at 4:05am in West Hills, California! I am definetly an cool baby! From the moment my mom and dad brought me home I’ve been making them laugh and smile because of all the funny and silly things I do! Check out my page for updates on what I’ve been up to! Right now my passion is chewing on frozen carrots (trying to get those darn teeth out), and figuring out how to get mom and dad to feed me more than just MILK!! 🙂

MY HOBBIES:
So most people think how much can a baby really do? Well I’m hear to tell you… A WHOLE LOT! Here is my average day.

MORNING
I wake up in the morning (in my own crib 😉 around 6:30am after going to be at around 9:00pm. I wake up and practice my words and sounds which my mama and dada can hear because they have a speaker that connects my room to theirs! After they hear me practicing for a while, Dada comes into my room and I always make sure to give him a BIG GOOD MORNING SMILE! Then we talk in my room for a few minutes, go to the bathroom and look in the mirror! (Gotta make sure my hair is in order 😉 Next up…saying good morning to Mama in the bedroom! Dada and I start on our short journey down the hall from my room and Mama is always waiting for me with a big hug and kiss! The only thing is…I want to play but I see mama and I realize … I’M HUNGRY!, so I start to fuss a bit and she always knows that its time to make my dudu (milk)! Then mama feeds me my 6 oz of milk from the bottle. I usually chow it down in about 5 minutes while she smiles and talks to me. Then we go to one of my favorite places…my changing table!

Changing Table
Oh boy…this isn’t just any changing table! Let me tell you! My mama gave up her makeup center to create a really great changing station for me! It’s got my padded luxury mattress on it, my favorite diapers, wipes, my cetaphil lotion, my boogie picker, as well as a heater and my dada even put heat lamps on top so I always stay nice and toasty!! So in the morning mama always uses a warm towel to clean up my face. Then she changes my diaper and uses the green boogie picker to get all the gooey boogies out of my nosie! Lastly she puts a little bit of shiny stuff on my lips so they don’t go dry! So much fun!! After I’m all full and changed I go with mama downstairs for a trip to see Achee *my great nanny! I play with Achee while mama and dada are getting ready for work. We sing “twinkle-twinkle”, play with my froggy and walk around the house!

Day Time
After mama and dada go to work I usually end up taking a half hour to 1 hour nap. Then I wake up and of course my little tummy tells me it’s time to eat again!! After I eat Achee and I play together, and she puts me in my stroller and we go out into the backyard so I can get some fresh air, look at the trees and listen to the waterfalls. My backyard is beautiful! I can’t wait to ride my tricycle and play basketball with dada out there.

Mama’s Home!
Mama usually comes home for lunch and sometimes Dada does too! We play and eat together and then they have to work again, which means I usually get to play some more and take a short afternoon nap!

Evening Time
I love the evenings, when the sun goes down that means mama and dad’s work day is over and they are all mine to play with! Mama gives me a bath. Boy is that great! She reads me the bath book which talks all about fishies, whales, and boats going “bob, bob, bob, bob” (I love that part!). Mama dries me off with my froggy towel and then I laugh and play while she gives me a lovely oil massage! Then she sits me up and I look in the mirror or at my sheet with all kinds of balls on it (basketballs, footballs, soccerballs, and baseballs!). Mama always shows me the different balls and then holds my face and says “This is Jatuball!! – because I have a “round-round face.” 🙂 After my bath mama takes me downstairs and usually I’m in a great mood and I get my dancing feet on and I dance and jump away in my jumperoo! Boy is that thing great! It’s got shiny lights, great music and a cute blue buggy that I love to chew on! (Achee calls my buggy a “serpent” but I know its a buggy ahahaha).

Sleepy Time
I have my bottle around 8:00pm and then I get very sleepy. I never want to go to sleep at that time though because mama and dada are up and talking, watching a laker game or great movie! I want to stay up with them but I’m so tired. There’s only so much a little guy like me can handle. I end up lying in mamas arms, fight her a bit, take my paci and go to sleep by about 8:30pm. After that dada picks me up and puts me in my crib downstairs. I have 2 cribs. 1 downstairs so Achee doesn’t always have to walk up and down stairs during the day and 1 upstairs in my room. Once mama and dada are ready to go to bed, dada carefully picks me up and mama follows with my paci and they gently put me back in my crib upstairs. They turn on the monitor so they can hear me in the morning practicing my words, give me a kiss and say “sweet dreams jatu, we’ll see you in the moning…love you darling,” and then we do it all over again the next day.

See….even babies have very busy schedules. 😉

OTHER STUFF I LOVE TO DO:
1. Watching the laker games with dada and mama
2. Acting like spiderman while standing on dad’s arms and shoulders
3. Eating frozen carrots to make sure my toothies come out soon
4. Being tickled on my left side
5. Singing and talking like “chewbakaa” from star wars
6. Blowing bubbles and eating my hands constantly!
7. Going 1, 2, 3, “up” and sitting, and then going “show off, show off, show, show, show off.”
8. Giving a high-5 to a select few (like mama and dada)
9. Getting my boogies picked – I know…pretty funny huh!
10. Peeing everytime mama puts me in the bathtub

MY FAVORITE ANIMALS:
Whales – because they go “Splish, splash, splooosh!”
Fishies – because they go “Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop.”
Doggies – because they go “Ruff, Ruff, Ruff!”
Froggies – because they go “ribbit, Ribbit, Ribbit!” (Mommy even puts on my Froggy towel to make me laugh!)
